I offer a compassionate, personalised approach that meets you where you are. Drawing from a blend of evidence-based approaches, I tailor each session to suit your unique needs, challenges and goals.
With lived experience of grief, chronic illness, parenting and neurodiversity, I bring empathy, insight and a deep understanding to our work together. I aim to empower you to build resilience, reconnect with your strengths and gain deeper understanding so you can move forward with greater clarity.
About me and my practice
Taking the first step towards healing takes courage. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, grief, chronic illness, or life's everyday stresses, it's natural to feel overwhelmed. You may feel stuck, unsure of where to turn, or wondering if things can really change. If this resonates with you, I want you to know - you are not alone.
My journey into counselling and coaching was shaped by my own life experiences navigating loss, caregiving, disability and chronic health challenges, particularly chronic pain and gynaecological conditions. These struggles taught me valuable lessons about resilience, healing, and the importance of a supportive space where you can be truly seen and heard. Now, I'm passionate about using my knowledge and experience to help others move forward with confidence and clarity.
I believe that every person is unique, and there's no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to mental health and well-being. That's why I take an integrative approach, blending a variety of evidence-based techniques to best suit your needs.
My practice incorporates: Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused & ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Through these approaches, I help you find coping strategies, develop emotional resilience, and build a strong foundation for long-term well-being.
My approach isn't just about working through challenges - it's about unlocking your strengths. Often, we focus so much on our struggles that we forget about our resilience, skills, and potential. In my coaching sessions, I help you tap into those strengths, set achievable goals and take practical steps towards a more fulfilling and aligned life.
Whether you're looking for counselling to process emotions, coaching to gain clarity on your future, or a combination of both, I am here to support and empower you every step of the way.
Experience
I have been counselling since 2022 at a domestic abuse charity. The main issues I worked with are PTSD, trauma, low self-esteem, anxiety, grief and neurodiversity.
I have lived experience of neurodiversity as my brother and daughter are autistic. I have experiences with loss, caregiving, disability and chronic health challenges -
particularly chronic pain and gynaecological conditions, which led me to become a counsellor. These struggles have shaped me and given me the tools to move beyond limitations - tools I'd
love to share with you.
Since February 2023, I have also been counselling online for clients who are given sessions through their employers (EAPs). Common issues were stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement and chronic pain.
I have worked as an Assistant Psychologist, administering assessment questionnaires and assisting in the diagnosis of ADHD, ASD and Trauma.
For 3 years, I worked as a Coach for Brain in Hand and I managed a caseload of 50 neurodiverse clients, identifying barriers and building tailored strategies using solution-focused and person-centred approaches. I collaborated with clients and their families to overcome challenges and develop coping strategies.
Prior to this I worked for Derbyshire County Council as a Mental Health Support Worker. This involved supporting individuals with complex needs to gain independence and increase well-being.
Before this I was a Special Needs Teacher in a variety of schools for children aged 4-16.

Initial Consultation
During the first session, I aim to get to know you by listening to what has brought you to counselling and then seeing if I can support you to move towards your goals. I will check you understand how I work and answer any questions you may have. I may ask you to complete some short questionnaires if I feel they may be beneficial to aid my understanding of your situation and difficulties. Then we would collaboratively organise future sessions so they best fit your needs.
Fees
My fees are £60 per session. I offer a discount for block bookings - if you pay for 5 sessions upfront, you get the 6th session free!
